In many previous publications, we established that most of plasma, i.e., glow discharge tube (singing arc, neon tube, …) are memristors. Then, the question arose to know if a laser can be considered as a memristor. In this work, we prove that the laser with feedback, for which we have already provided the mathematical model, is perfectly analogous to a memristor since it exhibits the main feature of such device, i.e. the existence of a finger loop hysteresis. This result highlights a new link between some optic phenomena and memristor features proving thus the universality of this concept. © Anita Publications. All rights reserved.
