Neutron waveguides: a proposal for slow neutrons confinement and applications in neutron optics

Abstract
We describe slow neutron confinement in thin waveguides. Neutrons propagate in an ideal zero-potential semiinfinite waveguide surrounded by infinite repulsive potential (clad), they are described by using Green’s function formalism and Dirichlet boundary conditions. We simulate modal propagation for neutron plane waves with 1.8 Ǻ of wavelength. © Anita Publications. All rights reserved.
